How to Make Large Donations on DonorSee

DonorSee is mostly known for the way it connects people across the world. Person to person, donor to recipient, all through video and technology. However, many of our donors see the enormous blessing that DonorSee is to the recipients, and they want a way to give more!

If you are interested in donating $1,000+ on DonorSee, then this article will tell you about your options. I will cover how to:

1. Donate to several projects at once
2. Donate to large projects
3. Donate with a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
4. Donate Monthly
5. Start a Matching Fund
6. Invest in Infrastructure

Although we are leaders in ensuring that small donations make a big impact, we work just as hard to make sure that large donations make a huge impact. Large donations make up a significant portion of our relief work, so we appreciate everyone who supports us at that level!

Here are your 5 options for making a large donation:

1) Donate to Several Projects at Once

This is one of the more common ways that people donate large amounts on DonorSee. They find several projects and donate to them all in one session. Sometimes the projects are all from one Partner, or one category, or from our Staff Picks section. And sometimes it's a combination of all those places!

If you would like a really easy way to donate to several projects at once, you can find the "Donate Remaining..." buttons in different places (like at the bottom of the Staff Picks page).

You can also click on the "Load More Projects" button located just below which will change the amount of projects available for mass funding. You can usually adjust the amount to be between $500 and $5,000 in available projects.

Important note: not all projects on DonorSee are tax-deductible for U.S. donors because we also partner with international charities. If tax-deduction is important to you, please only donate to projects that have the "100% Tax-Deductible" badge on them.

2) Donate to Large Projects

Visit donorsee.com/featured to see a list of projects with higher donation goals. These projects are vetted, approved and 100% tax-deductible. You can donate to any of them and you will get both a tax-receipt and video updates along the way.

3) Donate with a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) or Foundation

Many donors have a Donor Advised Fund through Fidelity, Charles Schwab, or other accounts. This is an easy way to donate money to 501c3 entities that often comes with certain tax advantages (so donors can give more).

If you are interested in donating with a Foundation or Donor-Advised Fund, please fill out this form.

4) Donate Monthly

One of our most popular programs is our monthly giving feature! You can pick an amount to give and we will allocate your donation to our most important and vetted projects every month. It's a great way to ensure that you are helping lift a new person out of poverty on a monthly basis.

5) Start a Matching Fund

We now have an option to double your impact. If you put up at least $1,000 for a matching campaign, we will use that to promote our urgent projects (or a project that you select).

Instructions:

1. Fill out this Google Form. We should get back to you within one business day.
2. Our team will work with you to make sure your donation is distributed in a way that honors your intentions.
3. We will then advertise that donors will get their donations matched within a certain window.
4. Let's say you put up $1,000 to be matched. After other donors have met that amount, your donation will be applied!

We can run matching campaigns for any amount over $1,000. Just fill out this form to get started!

6) Invest in Infrastructure

If you would like to help our team grow and have the ability to contribute $25,000 or more, we would love to talk about your options. Please email admin@donorsee.com with the subject line "Infrastructure Investment" and our team will reach out to your shortly.
